The intellectualisation of art and romance is interrogated in Andréas Giannopoulos' short film Friends of Mine in which Lou’s essay, and understanding of love, begin to change. Shot on 16mm and created through the AFTRS Master of Arts Screen Directing, this meticulously designed film required the title concept to balance absurdist comedy vibes from the likes of NYU darling Alex Ross Perry, within a distinctly Melbourne setting using a bold and nostalgic autumn palette applied to a charmingly bespoke typeset.
