Recently released on ABC iView, this 4-part docuseries explores the diversity of Victoria's drag community and just some of the intersectional experiences within. In a time when Ru Paul's Drag Race has gained widespread global popularity, the mainstream perception of drag can be limited to a highly Americanised, reality television-friendly model. Victorian Queens explores the multifaceted local drag scene, exploring the lived experience of a different queen in each episode, capturing a nuanced collection of perspectives, ideals and identities along the way.
